The newest
motorsport show in the UK "Motorsport with Attitude" will be
staged for the first time at Peterborough Arena on 16th and 17th
February 2019.
The
show had its official launch on 11 May when a selection of cars
from Autograss and Oval Racing gathered for a photoshoot at the
Arena, followed by a guided tour of the facilities.
All the major short oval racing organisations are expected to be
represented in the main arena, with further displays in the
other buildings on site and almost unlimited space for outdoor
car displays and other attractions.
That evening a selection of cars took part in a demonstration
during the Peterborough Panthers' Speedway meeting - it was
hoped that the Speedway track could be used for Live action
demonstrations during the show weekend, but recohgnising that
the shale surface might not be suitable for use in February an
alternative hard-surfaced Live Action area, adjoining the main
hall, was demonstrated using Nigel Harrhy's Formula 1 Stock Car.
Autograss was represented at the press day by Chloe Reynolds
(Class 1 Micra), Linzi Allen (Class 1 Mini), Harry Ashley (Class
1 Mini), Lee Forster (Class 7 Mini Pickup), Liam Evans (Class 7
Mini Pickup) and Kevin Chaffe (Class 9 Bennettbuilt). Outlaw Hot
Rods were represented by Essex-based Northern Ireland driver
Alistair Murray with his Ginetta while there was also a great
turnout of other oval racing classes from Stoxkarts to BRISCA
Formula 1.
