SEGTO Championship Round 2 - Tongham - 13 July 2014

The SEGTO Championship has turned out to be very well contested this year and round two attracted a strong entry from the two main SEGTO clubs plus the small but enthusiastic band of Standlake Arena regulars who were willing to give it a go on the loose. In the event nobody had any reason to fear the track surface in the only true dirt event on the SEGTO schedule. The Tongham club had put a massive amount of effort into re-laying the surface of the well-used Brick Kiln Farm track and their efforts paid off both in the quality of the racing and in the compliments from the drivers. The meeting ran without a hitch and close competition, both on the day and in the points, helped to set up what is bound to be a spectacular finale to the varied SEGTO series, under the floodlights at Arena Essex on 9 August.
